Directions from The North

Travel down the M1 exiting at junction 30.
Follow the A619 signposted to Chesterfield via Brimington.
In Brimington there is a one way system, as you enter this keep in the right hand lane and take the road between the Red Lion Inn and a house on the corner
On approaching the Whittington more roundabout which meets the A61 on the outskirts of Chesterfield , continue over the roundabout following the signs to the B6050 for Cutthorpe and Baslow.

Stay on the B6050 until you reach the staggered cross roads. Turn right and then immediately left continue down this road, do not turn off. You will pass through the village of Cutthorpe . Continue along this road, eventually you will see the Old Gate Inn, Cow Close Farm is located about 100 metres further on, on the left hand side.
Please note we are the second property on the left, (the neighbouring property is also known as Cow Close farm).

 

 

Directions from The South

Travel along the M1 to Junction 29, taking the A617 to Chesterfield . On approaching the first roundabout take the A61 signposted Sheffield (3 rd exit), carry straight on over the next roundabout (you will see a large Tesco store on the right hand side) continuing along the A61 to Sheffield . At the next roundabout at Whittington Moore take the 2 nd exit signposted B6050 Cutthorpe and Baslow.

Stay on the B6050 until you reach the staggered cross roads. Turn right and then immediately left continue down this road, do not turn off. You will pass through the village of Cutthorpe . Continue along this road, eventually you will see the Old Gate Inn, Cow Close Farm is located about 100 metres further on, on the left hand side.

Directions from the South (Via Derby avoiding Motorway)

If travelling from the south on the A38, follow signs to Burton and Derby , continue on the A38 around Derby following signposts for Chesterfield . Once through Derby Continue on the A38, look for signs for the A61 Chesterfield, turn off the A38 and head towards Chesterfield , you will pass through the towns of Alfreton and Clay Cross. You will approach the outskirts of Chesterfield , continue on the A61 Signposted Sheffield you will see a large Tesco Store on the right hand side carry straight on over the next Tesco roundabout along the A61 to Sheffield . Directions from The North West

Take any road signposted Baslow. Follow the signs for the A619 road to Chesterfield . About ¾ of a mile from the island on the outskirts of Baslow take a left onto the B6050, you will pass the Robin Hood Pub on the left hand side once you have taken the turning. Follow the signs for Cutthorpe along the B6050, turning left after about 2 miles. Continue along the road, Cow Close farm is on the Right hand Side about 2 miles down this road. You will see the Gate Inn on the Left hand side, (the first pub on this road) we are the first house on the right about 100 metre before the pub.
